Yesterday was awesome. Vitalii Mead was in Belgium and we jumped to the opportunity to make a collab. Jorre Vanhemmens graciously offered the use of his meadery at De Mederie. Yannick Schandené made sure we got 50 liters of excellent young lambic from Brasserie Cantillon, Jorre scored 50 liters oc Brouwerij Alvinne wheat beer and Gert Smet from The Blacksmith’s Meadery contributed a dry mead. After an afternoon of blending, tasting, more tasting, sampling some excellent lambics and meads we got the ideal mix. Lambic and mead are now undergoing a brettanomices ferment. When that’s done we’ll cut the result with one of Jorre’s dry ciders.
The profit from this collaboration will, of course, be integrally donated to #HelpBerryland
